The Heat Wave Apocalypse
It’s hot out. Really freaking hot. And while I realize there are a select few kooks among you who really love the steamy weather, we at Liddabit abhor it.
Why? Because TERRIBLE THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN WHEN IT’S THIS HOT.
What terrible things, you ask? Let me tell you:
1) Jen, Joan, and Michelle all come down with a super-fast-onset, super-high-fever (102˚!) plague and are down for the count half the week.
2) Our wholesale deliveries melt in transit and need to be replaced.*
3) There is a blackout at the kitchen so all of our chocolate spoils.
…Well, I don’t have visual confirmation of the last one yet, but I’m about to go into the kitchen and find out. Chances are slim that our chocolate was magically saved in a spontaneous bubble of cool air.
As a result of all these terrible things, I’m very sorry to be the bearer of yet more bad news: we won’t be able to do New Amsterdam Market this weekend. I know. Trust me, we’re just as bummed as you guys. But until we build our stock back up, there’s not a ton we can do.
Anyway, let’s stay optimistic, shall we? Everybody, stay cool (AC to 78 degrees, people!), drink water, and have a great weekend for us. And, Swamp People – if you could call off your terrible sun-god for the time being, we’d be much obliged.

*6:06 PM – Update: half of our deliveries did not actually get made at all. Seriously, screw this cursed weather!
