Hello, dear readers! It’s been a while, I know. We’ve had a lot going on: planning for the holidays, getting ready for the holidays, and now making candy for the holidays! (It’s a busy time of year for us, these holidays.)

But I wanted to check in and say hello (hello!), Happy Thanksgiving (Happy Thanksgiving), and: are you sure you have enough dessert?

I mean, even Pete Wells agrees that the final course is the real deal.

Never fear! We’re here to help. Here’s a lil’ listicle for you with some of our favorite tried-and-true (and in a couple of cases, untried-but-intriguing) Thanksgiving sweets to ensure that no one will be able to stand up under their own power after dessert.*

*The true measure of a successful Thanksgiving, no?

Gluten Free Cranberry Curd Tart
You could make it with a standard shortcrust, if you don’t need it gluten-free; and just look at that stunning color!

Claudia Fleming’s Stout Ginger Cake
I don’t even really like ginger, but this cake is unbelievably delicious and tender. (It’s also the inspiration for our Stout-Gingerbread Caramels.)

Bourbon Ginger Pecan Pie
From our pal Allison of Butter & Scotch. Sooooo good.

Cranberry Pie with Thick Pecan Crumble
Jen made this Smitten Kitchen recipe for Joan’s birthday a couple weeks back, and everyone here at HQ went crazy for it.

Leon’s Favorite Chocolate Cake and Philly Fluff Cake
A pair of my family’s favorites that are always present at Thanksgiving.

Sticky Cranberry Gingerbread
We have yet to try this, but – as Joan puts it – “it’s everything I ever wanted.”

Cheesy Pineapple Casserole
Okay, I haven’t made this one either. But I heart Kat Kinsman so much, and I really want to make it. Like, a lot. Maybe for Christmas?

To all of you dear people: have a happy, happy Thanksgiving! We’re truly grateful for each and every one of you. Now go eat some dang pie.
