Yes, we will be giving out Halloween goodies!  …To kids.  Parents, you are not allowed to abuse Halloween for your own candy-craving purposes.  At least wait till you get home to steal your kids’ candy, huh?  We won’t be complicit in your evil schemes.  (well, maybe for the right price…)

Anyway — potential bribery aside, we’ll have caramel apples at the Flea as well.  NEW caramel apples.  ADORABLE caramel apples.  TINY caramel apples.  Set-next-to-a-quarter-to-show-scale caramel apples.

Lady apples, to be exact.

If you’re not familiar with the Lady apple, you should be.  It’s one of the oldest apple varieties known, and is thought to have been cultivated by the ancient Romans — before Louis XIV and Henry David Thoreau followed suit.   (Feel free to use that as an icebreaker at your next food-nerd cocktail party.  You’re welcome.)  It also happens to be incredibly delicious!  Bitty though they may be, Lady Apples have firm, sweet flesh and a zingy sweet-tart flavor that pairs perfectly with our scrumptious salted caramel.   Do yourself a favor and try one.  And, hey, if not…we’ll be happy to eat ‘em for you.

As always, all your favorites will be there — including (but not limited to) brand-new batches of Pumpkin Pie Bars, King Bars (yesss!), and Brooklyn Chocolate Stout-Gingerbread caramels.

So go nuts.  Why not?  It’s Halloween!  You’ll have to wait a whole ‘nother year until you’re once again officially required to eat as much candy as your body can physically handle.
