Okay, so first thing’s first: we just (like, JUST) launched a Kickstarter project to raise funds for new equipment that we need to get through this holiday season. We can’t finance it, we have no investors and no loans. Please check out the project – as little as $1 will help – and forward it to your candy-loving friends. Anyway, the weather is cooling down now, which makes us super happy, and a bunch of crazy stuff has been going on…so here goes!

MARKETS
Starting tomorrow, 9/18 we’ll be back outside at the FORT GREENE FLEA every Saturday! No more One Hanson unless we tell you otherwise – we’re trying to get a handle on the holiday season.

And, as of last Sunday, NEW AMSTERDAM is weekly! That’s right, every single Sunday until the end of the year, you can come out and grab delicious prepared food, local wine, artisanal cheese, pastured meat, unbelievable produce and more!

NEWS

SLURTLES are back at the markets! Also keep an eye out in the next month for BRITTLE and our new CHAI LATTE lollipop. Fall PIE BARS coming soon…plus a new winter bar that you won’t want to miss (it’s Jen’s new favorite).

EVENTS

We were also featured in the July and September issues of FOOD & WINE Magazine (http://bit.ly/9PEsrJ and http://bit.ly/c8HzOp, respectively) – and even though it’s not really “press”, you should check out Dorie Greenspan’s gorgeous new cookbook, “Around My French Table”; in the acknowledgements, you’ll find a really nice mention of Jen, who tested a bunch of recipes for that book.

We also know a bunch of you have been asking about shipping costs – those will go down in the next week or two, once the weather is consistently cool. Expect Ground and Priority shipping options by early October.
