Liz and Jen met at the French Culinary Institute, Jen did an externship with the pastry chef at Per Se while Liz makes bonbons at Roni-Sue’s Chocolates in the Essex St. Market, and now they’re striking out on their own with Liddabit, a cute but sophisticated candy company. Their take on classic candy bars are kind of insane: an artisanal Snickers? C’mon! And the honeycomb quasi-Crunchie? Seriously sublime. The PBJ truffle is Wonkaesque, and whatever else they’ve invented since we met them is probably awesome too. Worth an umbrella trek, for real. E8, FG/Sat
